Automotive Ethernet Media Converter: 100/1000BASE-T to BASE-T1
The Hellbender Ferry bridges standard (BASE-T) and automotive (BASE-T1) Ethernet networks at 100 or 1000 Mb/s. It connects off-the-shelf compute and switching gear directly to automotive-grade sensors and cameras, removing the need for custom cables and adapters and maintaining flexibility in system architecture design.
Key features include:
- 100/1000BASE-T to 100/1000BASE-T1 conversion, so sensor selection isn’t limited by link speed
- Wide 10–65 VDC power input for compatibility with a wide array of vehicle and robotic systems
- Onboard STM32 microcontroller, configurable over CAN and I2C, for easy development and integration
