Their mission is to empower farmers with the tools needed to optimize their land use and operations. By providing a proprietary device and companion application that allows farmers to collect rich datasets from their land, EnrichedAg is leading farming into a new era of data-driven decision-making.
Project Challenges
To deliver on their value proposition, enrichedAg first required a reliable hardware platform capable of surviving the harsh operating environments of commercial farms. Hellbender’s challenge was then to design and manufacture a robust data collection unit that met several demanding requirements:
Extreme Durability:The device needed to be ruggedized to survive constant vibration, diverse weather conditions, and continuous operation with battery power while mounted on the hood of a vehicle.
Integrated Sensing:The platform had to integrate two high-resolution cameras along with other critical sensors like GPS, IMU, and more for comprehensive data capture.
Edge Compute & Connectivity:The system required reliable on-device compute for onboard processing and seamless connectivity with mobile phones.
Domestic Manufacturing:EnrichedAg was eager to use a reliable, high-quality camera platform designed and manufactured entirely in the S.
